Im on a facebook group now called StillPainted where concept artists and illustrators vote on a film each month and then we sketch frames from it. Great fun and a good way to build the visual vocabulary for film. This is my first sketch from this month's film "Lemony Snicket: A series of Unfortunate Events"
Great job on the shadows ! Olaf's expression is amazing (a bit creepy but still amazing) and I love the way you drew his clothes. How did you do the white lines on it ?
heheh thanks, yeah he was doing that evil frown/grin leaning against that wall. Such a great shot. I did the white lines as just a layer on top in white. I did the whole thing inking on a Cintiq 21UX in CS6. But Ive tried to emulate my hand/brush inking style I used to do like on these: [link] where if I wanted those thin white lines I would've just done a white pass dipping the thin brush in white ink for the pin-stripes.
