Wow I haven't updated the journal in a looong time. Figured I'd give a quick update.

I mentioned last journal that I was hired to illustrate a comic book. It was for an indy publisher. I have since finished it and it turned out great, just unfortunate no one will ever see it. I am under NDA until it's published but it doesnt look like it's ever going to be published due to issues with budget and publisher, management etc. Nothing directly related to myself or my work and therefore completely out of my control. Ah well, these things sometimes happen. It was still a good experience and a nice change of pace from the Film Industry for a few months, even though I put in way more hours doing the comic. But I could work a 16 hour day in my underwear without ever brushing my hair if I wanted to, so it was a fair trade-off, :-p

I spent a year at the Aaron Sims Company doing animatics and pre-visualization with the design team there on alot of really great film projects. I am now freelancing over at FOX studios again on a really awesome film that I wish I could talk about. It's superhero related and everyone on the production so far is super cool, so it's been a great gig so far. I wiiiish I could post what we are doing but I wont be able to show much of anything for probably another year and a half.  

I also just completed my first year of teaching at Gnomon School of Visual Effects. I teach the Intro to Character Design class there. It's a lot of fun. I try hard to make sure every class is filled with alot of good info and hopefully help everyone get a good set of characters designed by the end of the term.

That's it for now, with one final note, my Last Secret Agent Man (LSAM) project will be getting more active over the coming months as well. The animatics are in production noiw and I will post some progress as soon as I am able!
