its weird,  This was a throwaway sketch i did when i was real sleepy after a long day right before bed. I hated it but threw it on my facebook and people seemed to like it quite a bit so here it is, :-) this just goes to show you should draw what you want, not what you think people want to see. Cuz alot of the time the ones you dislike the most are the ones people love. It'shappened to me plenty. :-)
Starman by feeesh
Sketch from a film frame. When he's trying to say certain words in the car driving. Hard to get expression right though. Deceptively difficult. Ive always found expressions with the lips exaggerated enough to show teeth without an extreme eyebrow or eye expression with it are hard to get right. Same with girls who have a mellow face and their lips just slightly open showing their 2 front teeth a little bit under their lip. Hard to draw and make them not look like a bucktoothed troll, heheh.

I work in the film industry mostly in pre-production doing Pre-Visualization (PreViz) as well as storyboards and animatics. I have worked on films such as Star Trek, Wolverine, Day the Earth Stood Still, Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief and Transformers 3, AKIRA, and GI Joe: Retaliation. You can check out my Demo Reel here ( if you like.

I also teach "Intro to Character Design" at the Gnomon School of Visual Effects (, in which I also attended and completed the full certificate program for Visual Effects.

Also known as DJ J NAYKID, I can be seen spinning good house beats at burning man parties and clubs throughout Los Angeles and up and down the West Coast.

So basically Im sort of all over the place creatively, heheh. But that's me in a nutshell. Hope you all enjoy the art here and please let me know what you think! And also feel free to write with any questions you might have about my work or art or anything. I love talking shop with fellow artists. :-)

Hey everyone. Thank you everyone that has checked out my work recently. as always, feel free to write with any questions you have about my work or what I do.

I recently was on hiatus from working as the Previz Supervisor on the new Fantastic Four film, and worked on the new Agent 47 film (hitman reboot) in the meantime which was to star "Paul Walker". Very surreal having finished that just 2 weeks ago with the news of his death this past weekend. While I didn't meet him in person, just the fact that I spent months working long hours on a film discussing him and his character daily, still feels sorta close to home.

As of now though I am back on the Fantastic Four reboot with Josh Trank whom directed Chronicle which is definitely in my top 5 superhero movies so not complaining there! :-)

I am also in full steam mode (if that's a real mode, i just made it up) working on two animated projects to finally get pitch, including The Last Secret Agent Man which I've been posting a bit of lately. It's looking great though but also alot of work putting together an entire pitch bible. NOt only does it need all the character designs and descriptions/background as well as environments. You also need a full script for the Pilot and a synopsis for every episode of the entire first season. So I'm working diligently shooting to have something to show by Summer 2014, at least something moving and some animation tests and such. That's the last step in the process. The pitch bible will be done by then and will have animated trailer to go along with it and garner some interest, possibly kickstarter?

Here's the latest mock ad for it, based on The American, a favorite movie poster of mine. Starring Bob and Yuri the assassin in the back (actually that's my fiance, :))

You are welcome!  If you like my look and ever need reference photos, I would be honored to give some to you from my private collection.  I have thousands that are not posted on dA (that also fully show my face) - everything from classic nudes to highly erotic.  Keep up the great work!
